Because McHenry County Conservation District’s Festival of the Sugar Maples event can attract roughly 600 visitors per day, and health officials have encouraged citizens to limit gatherings of large groups, for the safety of our visitors we are cancelling this upcoming weekend’s Festival of the Sugar Maples, that was scheduled March 14 & 15 at Coral Woods Conservation Area in Marengo. We apologize for any inconvenience.
At this time the Conservation District has cancelled the all programs and events for the next two weeks, through March 26 as a precautionary measure to help stall/halt the spread of COVID-19. This includes the following programs previously included in press releases dated February 26 and March 11:
Color Changing Bacteria, Thursday, March 19 from 6:30–8 p.m.
Constellations from the Kames, Tuesday, March 24 from 7–9 p.m.
Spring Break Escape, Wednesday, March 25 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
